Budapest ONE WEEK February 2024 Chess tournaments for GM and IM norms and ELO rating points in Budapest Tournament description: We organize a GM an IM and a Rating group (U2250) with10 players each between 26 February and 02 March 2024. Tournaments are played according to the Round Robin system. Rating group is dedicated for players between 1800-2250 but there are limited places for players below 1800 as well. Venue: Hungarian Chess Federation 1055 Budapest Falk Miksa street 10. 2nd floor Accommodation: Accommodation should be arranged by the players. There are numerous hotels and apartments near the playing venue in the city centre of Budapest with prices starting from around 40 EUR/person/night Time control: 90 minutes for the whole game, with 30 seconds increment from move 1 Playing schedule: Round 1 26.02.2024 16:00 Round 2 27.02.2024 10:00 Round 3 27.02.2024 16:00 Round 4 28.02.2024 10:00 Round 5 28.02.2024 16:00 Round 6 29.02.2024 16:00 Round 7 01.03.2024 10:00 Round 8 01.03.2024 16:00 Round 9 02.03.2024 10:00 Default time: 30 minutes Postponement of rounds is not possible.

Prizes: in the U2250 group there is a 300 EUR* prize fund, which will be shared between 1-3 places as following:1. 150 EUR 2. 100 EUR 3. 50 EUR

Tiebreak: Sonneborn-Berger *In case of 10 players. In case of less players, prize fund will be decreased accordingly.

Entry fee: GM tournament: 2201-2300 500 EUR, 2301-2350 400 EUR, 2351-2400 350 EUR, 2401-2450 300 EUR, 2451-2500 250 EUR, 2501+ 200 EUR
