The City of Świdnica, the Polish Chess Federation, the Adolf Anderssen Foundation, and the European Chess Union (ECU) have the great honour to invite all senior players throughout Europe to participate in the European Senior Team Chess Championship 2023 which will take place from 11th to 21st July 2023 in Swidnica, Poland.

The event will be played in two age categories: 50+ and 65+, Open and Women sections separately. A separate Women’s Championship will be held if there are at least 8 teams in the respective category. Otherwise, the Women’s Championship shall be merged with the respective Open category.

The Championships will be played in a 9-round Swiss system. The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes for the rest of the game + 30 seconds increment for every move played.
